#inktobertangles2019 Day 31: Florz. Drew this over the weekend while at my wife's both at the local arts and crafts festival. So strange to be done, and fun to see the choices I make at the end of the month versus the beginning.

#inktobertangles2019 Day 30: Nik. Really enjoyed doing fewer, larger tangles on this one.

One more day - looking forward to seeing the whole book spread out!

#inktobertangles2019 Day 29: Kuke. Another where I tangles myself into a corner - this time with too many items with small detail. Still pleased with the result, though!

#inktobertangles2019 Day 28: Well, Well, Who. Went back to my 01 pen for this one, since the pattern has so much detail.

I actually finished the last of the tangles for the month yesterday, and the final meander book is so much fun to fold out!

#inktobertangles2019 Day 27: Crescent Moon. Had fun combining Echoism and Changing with the pattern!

#inktobertangles2019 Day 26: Ratoon. I used Aquafleur as the center in this, and enjoyed how organic the final result emerged.

#inktobertangles2019 Day 25: Tripoli. I think this is one of my favorite reticula, as the metapatterns tend to firm so naturally.

Art

#inktobertangles2019 Day 24: Baton. I drew myself into a corner on this one, and it took a while to figure out what to do with all the tiny odd-shaped spaces I had left.

#inktobertangles2019 Day 23: Pixioze. This has become one of my go-to filler tangles since learning it. Here, it's behind the other elements. Really enjoyed the various tangleations I predicted in this one.

#inktobertangles2019 Day 22: Abundies. Dewd feels like a river current, and Molygon like ripples.

Art

#inktobertangles2019 Day 21: Batumber. Had fun drawing 'Nzeppel getting the Gordgeous pattern. The whole thing felt like a nice harvest.

#inktobertangles2019 Day 20: Antidots. I really enjoy how the Betweed morphed into a cluster of Antidot "berries". One of only a few times I've chosen to use Amaze - needed something to make Sampson pop, and it was a perfect fit.

#inktobertangles2019 My meander book so far (I'm tangling about four days ahead, to ensure I have a buffer). So fun to see it layed out like this!

#inktobertangles2019 Day 29: Diva Dance. This may be my favorite tangle I've ever done.

Art

Posted 2019-10-18

#inktobertangles2019 Day 18: Sindoo. Should have chosen a tangle with more contrast than Purk as my focal in front of the Sindoo, but nonetheless, I found this one striking once done.

#inktobertangles2019 Day 17: Dreamdex. I brought elements of Pixioze into the Dreamdex, and experimented more with overlapping patterns.

#inktobertangles2019 Day 16: Trentwith. Inspired by my aunt's garden this summer.

Art

#inktobertangles2019 Day 15: Maryhill. I extended the spokes to the edges, and discovered a curved reticula I could fill.

Art

#inktobertangles2019 Day 14: Arukas. Super geometric, yet it feels very organic to me as well.

#inktobertangles2019 Day 13: Yincut. If a monotile is one tangle, is to tables a duotile?

Really pleased with the way this one turned out. If not tried that particular shading on Yincut, and it makes it pop nicely in the background.

#inktobertangles2019 Day 12: Floo. Almost went monotangle on this one, but saw opportunities for Pepper and Fengle, and then N'Zeppel crept in. The big pattern in the middle still feels incomplete, even several days after completing this one.

#inktobertangles2019 Day 11: Inaflux. I had fun using it as a fragment within a Man-O-Man reticula.

Art

Posted 2019-10-10

#inktobertangles2019 Day 10: Cubine. I played a little with barrel distortion here, with... mixed results. But I think the interplay if the Batumber and Shattuck in the corners worked nicely!

#inktobertangles2019 Day 9: Lola. With Nipa, this looks like a seascape or a beach scene.

Art

Posted 2019-10-08

#inktobertangles2019 Day 8: Bales. I used the pattern as a reticula, and love the way it transformed into a mosaic!

Art

Posted 2019-10-07

#inktobertangles2019 Day 7: Huggins. I find Huggins makes a fun reticula, almost like a half-stretched canvas. I love how it can fade into the background.

Art

#inktobertangles2019 Day 6: Flukes. Played with perfs and auras on this one. This one feels a little like unzipping a floral scene to find it's all scales underneath.

Art

Posted 2019-10-05

#inktobertangles2019 Day 5: Jalousie. The pattern almost looks more like sheet music. I also had fun having the Indy Rellas transition to Aah and Therefore - gave a nice fireworks effect!

Art

#inktobertangles2019 Day 4: Zonked. At first, I felt I'd made the pattern too big. But then I realized it allowed me to play with fragments within the whitespace.

Art

#inktobertangles2019 Day 3: Toodles. Had a lot of fun composing this one!

Art

Posted 2019-10-02

#inktobertangles2019 Day 2: TunnelVizion. I got sucked into the repetition, and continued it with Diva Dance and Rain.

Art

Posted 2019-10-01

#inktobertangles2019 day 1: Printemps. Added a dewdrop to emphasize the pattern, but I think it ended up looking like part of the Floo beneath it instead.
