#inktobertangles2020 Day 30: Hamadox. This one is a combination of Paradox and Hamail - and I think I prefer it to either of them. Going to try different initial shapes next time to see what happens.

Only one more day left!

#inktobertangles2020 Day 29: Fassett. Not convinced by my shading; probably should have used a smaller blending stump.

#inktobertangles2020 Day 28: Icantoo. Another early morning, this time with both dogs waking.

#inktobertangles2020 Day 27: GeliJoy. Dog got me up early, so I figured I'd start the day on a meditative note and draw.

#inktobertangles2020 Day 26: Paradox. This is a tangle I typically don't like - too geometric. But playing with curves and line weight and leaving space for decorating... Too fun!

#inktobertangles2020 Day 25: Aruna. Quickly felt like I was creating a tree, so I broke out my wife's watercolors.

#inktobertangles2020 Day 24: Zenith. I've often struggled with this one, mostly because I go too small. Going big allowed me to explore how the pieces fit together - fun! Also really enjoyed doing the background on this one - lots of Zen flow.

#inktobertangles2020 Day 22: Aquafleur. This one looks a bit like a chrysalis!

#inktobertangles2020 Day 21: Quin. When I did my step-out card for this last month, I wasn't entirely sure I'd ever find a use for it. But when I saw some of the tangles others have done today, I found a way to "own it", finally. Kind of wished I'd thought to braid them - maybe next time!

#inktobertangles2020 Day 20: Hollis. This one has so much Zen flow - you just keep adding and adding and adding, and it gets more complex and ornate...

#inktobertangles2020 Day 19: Molygon. This one was directly inspired by last week's #eniokenartclub session on articulated Molygon towers.

#inktobertangles2020 Day 18: B'Twined. I have a love/hate relationship with grid patterns, but I love how organic this one looks.

Snuck in a Molygon tower, as learned in #eniokenartclub earlier this week, even using a watercolor pencil and water brush - things I'd never have considered before!

#inktobertangles2020 Day 17: Dragonair. I did both a radial version and the "standard", though with a wide base. So much real estate left by these, I had plenty of Zen flow filling up the tile!

#inktobertangles2020 Day16: Bunzo. Haven't done this one in quite some time. Airways makes for some great drama!

#inktobertangles2020 Day 15: Abukas. Tone is almost evenly split between initial ink, adding line weight and refining lines, and shading. Even the smaller tiles are still taking 1-2 hours - but so relaxing and satisfying!

#inktobertangles2020 Day 14: Iugo. Applied lessons learned from #eniokenartclub earlier this week during the Molygon towers lesson - extreme decoration!

#inktobertangles2020 Day 12: Bosch. Really enjoying using the smaller Bijou tiles for these - they allow me to go I to detail, without losing focus on the primary pattern for the day.

I was first introduced to Bosch during a session by @mindandtangle this past spring - both an eternity and a blink of the eye ago - and it's since become one of my favorites.

#inktobertangles2020 Day 11: Divi. Used it both as a ribbon, as well as the background.

#inktobertangles2020 Day 10: Cadent. Still a day behind, but should catch up today. This one was in part inspired by @zentangleinc project pack 8, but also owes heavily to the line weight and fearless shading lessons from #eniokenartclub

#inktobertangles2020 Day 9: Fugu. A day late, though I had most of the inking done yesterday. Wish I'd had at least one Fugu in front of the ribbon, but still overall happy with the composition.

I set out to do monotangles. It's amazing that they each end up becoming strings and reticula. It's like I can't help myself!
